FUNDRAISING ASSOCIATE

Job Summary: 
The Domestic Violence Center of Howard County offers innovative and comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence. The Community Relations Department invites applications for the position of Fundraising Associate. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with full benefits.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follow in-depth agency-wide fundraising plan and meet deadlines
  • Database management and reporting
  • Identify potential donors and sponsors
  • Manage outside/3rd party fundraising events
  • Manage web-based donations
  • Work closely with the Assistant Director on donor relations and fundraising events
  • Serve as a member of the Community Relations Department
  • Assist in planning the annual Gala and serve as committee member
  • Serve as a member of the Financial Sustainability Committee based on agency's strategic plan.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in related field
  • Minimum two years fundraising experience in a nonprofit setting
  • Ability to meet deadlines and benchmarks
  • Experience in database management, donor cultivation, and events
  • Strong writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Must be creative with a sense of humor and ability to work in a team environment
