We are proud to announce new leadership at the agency! Krista McKee has been named the new President/CEO of the DVC (formerly titled Executive Director).
For the past eight months, McKee has served as Assistant Director at the DVC, and brings 27 years, of education leadership experience in both for-profit and non-profit sectors. Since 2006, has been extremely active with the Howard County non-profit community, serving on various committees and boards. McKee is a 2008 graduate of Leadership Howard County and through her career has demonstrated leadership, vision, and development with all the organizations she has served. McKee earned her B.S. in Education at Abilene Christian College in Texas, and received her Masters in Education at Texas Women’s University.
“This is a unique time in the history of the agency. With the addition of sexual assault services and child abuse services, it offers an opportunity to provide a variety of services to better meet the demands and needs of our clients,” said McKee. “While at the DVC, I have developed a deep appreciation for our clients and for the staff who serve them so well. It is my intention to spread the word about our services and support those in need as they move from crisis to hope,” she concluded.
McKee will be working directly under the supervision of the Center’s volunteer Board of Directors, comprised of an extensive group of representatives of local businesses and organizations, and will be overseeing the development and fundraising efforts for the agency.
The DVC is proud to announce that starting July 1, 2010, the Center will begin providing sexual assault and child abuse services in partnership with Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center and The Family Tree.
